Pride and Prejudice

Pride - To celebrate PrideFest, Ron and Dan's House of Hammers went on a holiday schedule. Mike refuses to march with his mom's P-FLAG group, Lindsay refuses to allow Mel to play with her ex-girlfriend, Ted refuses to believe his one-night stand isn't true love, and Justin refuses to attend PrideFest at all. Ron and Dan's stays open just long enough for Brian to take on a homophobic client, for which he gets yelled at over and over. By everyone.

Gay As Blazes? Hard As Anvils.

Hypocrisy: Don’t Do It - Emmett's new assignment is with a biracial, overly educated couple that could have jumped right out of his favorite show, Gay as Blazes (a politically correct view of gay life). Emmett couldn't be more thrilled. Then they both hit on him. Brian is supposed to receive an award for saving Justin's life, but he doesn't want it. Then Howard Bellwether -- who advocates a moral standard for homosexuals much like that on Gay as Blazes -- writes an article condemning Brian for his sexual history. Melanie and Lindsay are soon sent to get Brian to decline the award, but don't worry: Bellwether turns out to be a hypocrite, too.

Save the Last Dance For Me

Full Circle - It's Brian's thirtieth birthday, but he's okay, because he has a nice, new scarf to play with. Uh, "wear." Whatever. Michael acts as though he's really going somewhere, and Demon acts like his old self again. Blake acts like a drug addict, except he's not acting, which forces Ted to make a tough decision. And finally, Brian shows up at Justin's prom, making it the happiest day of Justin's teenage life. And possibly the last.

It Was A Pain to Type Anyway

How TLFKAM Got Her Name Back - David returns from Paris, but instead of bringing Mike back with him, he found a pretentious little twit who's learned how to spend his money. The pretentious little twit then refuses to invite his friends to a fundraiser he and his creator are holding, so said friends decide to crash and act like complete fools. French Fried - David's pattern of controlling and emotionally manipulative behavior continues, as Mike struggles to be more than a "kept woman." Justin's homophobic homeroom teacher shoves him down the path to gay rights activism. The Lesbian Formerly Known as Melanie wants Lindsay back, but a Frenchman and a really stupid fake-marriage plotline stand in her way. Daphne returns, proving that wishes really do come true. Brian doesn't do much except stand around, scowl some, and look real pretty, earning him a Big Camper Thumbs Up.

Ouch! That's Gotta Hurt.

The Ties That Bind - Brian's having a bad weekend: he's got Gus, who's more of a handful than expected, and then Pop Kinney drops by to announce that he's dying, and, to top it off, there's a Leather Ball at Babylon and Brian wants to go! What's a stud to do? Foist the baby off onto Justin, come out to his dad, and then get yelled at by everyone involved, of course. Ted's having a bad weekend, too: he's boring, which wouldn't be so bad, except that an old crush of his is into leather and S&M, and is richer, happier, and better adjusted for it. But is Ted ready to give that particular whip a whirl? Mike's weekend totally sucks: Dave's son Hank is visiting, and Dave's too busy making sure everyone's having funfunfun! to notice that Hank is miserable. Mike thinks it's him, but it's not. Gay Dad thing? Nope. Is it because David's a supreme control freak who needs to be put on a Prozac drip? Ding ding ding!

Fallout at Twelve O'Clock!

A Change Of Heart - Brian's banned from his office because of the sexual-harassment suit, so he spends his time sulking about Gay PA, dispensing wisdom, common sense, and concern for others. No, we're serious. He also hires The Lesbian Formerly Known as Melanie to represent him, which gives her an opportunity to show her good side in an effort to get her name back. (Maybe next week.) Mike feels the need to sneak around behind Dr. Dave's back in order to comfort his best friend, and the good doctor doesn't take that so well. Elsewhere, Justin finally makes himself useful, Debbie and Vic prove that they can dance better than anyone else on the show, and Emmett has sex with a girl. Yeah, you heard right.

Oh, yeah, and to top it all off, Michael accuses someone else of spouting bad dialogue. Honestly -- where do you start?

Life Without Mikey

Move It Or Lose It - Mike's gone, so Brian needs someone to pay attention to him, dammit. Lots and lots of people, okay? Ted's game, because he's scoring Brian's castoffs. Justin's game, because he's Justin. Melanie and Lindsay aren't given a choice, but at least Brian's a distraction from their own problems. Elsewhere, Mike's moved in with David, but his stuff's not welcome to move in along with him; Emmett joins an ex-gay group because he promised God he'd give up men; Tracy keeps Camper's respect but loses a job; Daphne shows up for half a sec; and an HDGB SPEAKS! And, oh, yeah -- Harvey Fierstein's back. But is it for good this time?

Y'all are Tripping

Queens Of The Road - David introduces Mike to the Oldest Gay Couple in the World, but Mike's still hesitant to move in with someone he's only known a few weeks. When the penthouse gets robbed because someone forgot to set the alarm, Brian gives Justin five minutes to get the hell out. Justin then adds insult to injury by stealing Brian's credit card and running away to New York. Brian ends up going after him, but only after getting yelled at by the entire cast and a psychic dressed in drag. Mike, Ted, and Emmett tag along for absolutely no reason. Back at the Happy Fun House, Melanie and Lindsay face a money crunch, so St. L. decides she needs to stay home with the baby instead of going back to work. More logic.

Daddy Dearest

Daddy Dearest - Melanie and Lindsay ask Brian to give up his parental rights. This leads Brian to seek out his own father, who's a total cliché, but not the one you're expecting. Emmett's stalked by his inner stud, and insists on talking to him in public. David invites Mike to dinner with his friends, and pretends not to notice when Mike acts like a complete idiot. Justin mostly gets yelled at to do his homework. Ted's present for show, which is more than can be said for Daphne, Debbie, or Vic. And hold onto your rainbow flags -- Melanie and Lindsay get to do the nasty. 'Bout time.

Babylon Boomerang - Because of Brian's lack of accountability, he is now the proud owner of a seventeen-year-old boy. Because Justin's dad won't calm down, he is now a permanent resident of his wife's doghouse. Because Mike wouldn't come out of the closet at work, he now has a tougher job and a girlfriend; and because Camper had lost all hope for a truly good episode, they gave her this one. Dude, we're all screwed.

Brian, Brian, Brian, Oy, Oy, Oy

Smells Like Codependence - Gay PA's obsession with Brian Kinney reaches new highs, as Dr. Dave can't get Mike's not being able to get Brian out of his mind out of his mind. Justin's dad breaks several assault laws because he can't get Brian having sex with his son out of his mind. Justin won't even try to get Brian out of his mind. Several people marvel at how hard it is for anyone to get Brian out of their minds, and Camper, Ted, and Emmett are left to wonder what the big deal is. Thank God for Harvey Fierstein.

Now Approaching…The Line - A blackmailing client tests the limits of Brian's sexual amorality. Mike has a date with a dreamy chiropractor whose interest stops at the bedroom door. Justin's mom gets him to quit running, but not to quit being gay. Melanie and Lindsay almost have sex, but then remember that lesbians aren't allowed. Steven Weber guest hosts, but can Camper dutifully make fun of him while blushing like a schoolgirl? Some boundaries are definitely harder to cross than others.
